Residents University is organising a weekend packed full of information and learning for community and voluntary groups, active citizens and neighbourhood professionals. It is taking place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th March at Birmingham University.
The event is a chance to hear from leading figures in central and local government, public services and neighbourhood groups about the future for neighbourhood management. There will also be workshops on new techniques and approaches, policies and funding.
You can book for one or both days and the event is FREE if you live or work in Birmingham. Lunch is included both days and everyone who attends will also get a free Neighbourhood Pack full of briefings, video and other useful
materials worth £50.
On DAY 1, we’re aiming to look at Storytelling,Guide Neighbourhoods and mentoring and Social Franchising and there will be study visits looking at neighbourhood management in two neighbourhoods in the city. A dinner will be organised on the Friday evening.
On DAY 2, we’re aiming to look into Community Networks, the new Single Neighbourhoods Programme and Working Neighbourhoods Fund as well as
two further neighbourhood study visits.
